WHAT A WONDERFUL TRIP IN LONDON March 29th - April 5th

I‒ LET’S MEET OUR HOST FAMILIES !
The host families were really welcoming. They took care of our comfort and our well-being. We ate a lot for dinner because we only had a sandwich for lunch. We could practice English with our host families. And since we were four per family, the atmosphere in the bedrooms was great, we had a lot of fun.
II‒ FRENCH GUYANA VS ENGLAND
English people drink tea at 5 o’clock p.m, most of the times with milk. For breakfast, they eat marmite with their toast : it’s a dark, thick, yeast extract spread.
Traditional buildings are very different from ours : we have very colorful wooden houses, while they have red bricks buildings. Many of our monuments have a link with slavery and its liberation, while those of London are often art or history museums, there are many statues of famous people (Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, …) and have a link with war and colonization. There are also a lot of political buildings, like the Buckingham Palace and the House of Parliament, because England is a parliamentary monarchy. British people drive on the left, we also saw typical double-decker buses and typical black taxis.
London is a really touristic city with a lot of shops. There are also a lot of attractions and interesting buildings to visit.

III‒ WALK IN LONDON : FOLLOW THE GUIDES !
During the trip, WE WALKED A LOT ! We crossed a lot of streets (ex : Windsor Street ; Oxford Street ; …), and we visited parks, museums (Tate Museum and the British Museum), and even a school : the Winston Churchill high school.
During the bus ride and the walk, we saw historical monuments, such as Big Ben, Buckingham, 10 Downing Street (the Prime minister’s house), Admiral Nelson’s statue, the House of the British Parliament and Tower Bridge. We also saw really famous places, shops and monuments, such as the London Eye (a famous big wheel), the Shard (the tallest skyscraper in England), China Town, and the Cyberdog (a shop) in Camden Town and the London Dungeon.
We saw INCREDIBLE and BEAUTIFUL things in London !

Here are a few examples of what we saw. Have a look !
